Devotional Friday Event
I re-lance my blogging event on the subject of communication and sharing our faith in Christ.
Sometimes its hard to love people even close relatives and in the verses from the New Testament Paul gives a helping hand in this matter. I will simply quote the verses from the Amplified Bible where the original Greek so the meaning is more clear. I have used that translation since the late 1970s.
I Thessalonians chapter 3:11-13
Now may our God and Father Himself and our Lord Jesus Christ ( The Messiah) guide our steps to you.
And may the Lord make you to increase and excel and overflow in love for one another and for all people, just as we do for you, so that He may strengthen and confirm your hearts faultlessly pure and unblamable in holiness in the sight of our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) with all His saints ( the holy and glorified people of God)! Amen ( so be it!
Here Paul tells us that it is the Lord who helps us to increase in love towards each other and that the strength to do that comes from Him and that Jesus is the Messiah for Christians and for Jews. This means that I don’t have to fear death and where to spend eternity and when I spend time in the Bible and with the Lord I feel less stress and greater love towards my fellow human beings on my way both in the real world and the virtual.
I invite any blogger to take part in this blogging event by sending me an email or pingback to one of my posts on this subject. They can be found in the “search” widget on my blog using the words “Devotional Friday”.
