I will show you Copenhagen by bike

Show me your world

Participating in the blogging event “Show your world” initiated by TinyExpats I have chosen Copenhagen.  The capital of Denmark is known as a city with many people on bikes. It was so when I was young, when my parents were young during the war and now the amount of bikes are just increasing.

Much has been improved since I was young. The paths for the bicycling has been widened and the air is cleaner due to better cars.

Sometimes when I visit Copenhagen I hire bicycles at the hotel and make sentimental journeys to the city of my youth. You can hire very cheap bicycles with internet google maps on it.

When I was about 16 years old I loved to go to Copenhagen by bike. I had ten kilometres each way and I was quite worn out coming back. Later I lived there studying nursing. I would always prefer the bike to busses.

If some of you would like to come I will be your tour guide! Much stays as it has been for centuries while the harbour area is changing in a good way to be used for swimmers and runners and all the many families with young children are having their time out.
