Years ago, my interest in WWII and my love for Copenhagen, our Danish capital, brought me in contact with the artist Simon Bang. At the time, I didn’t know that Simon Bang was a painter as we corresponded about historical subjects on a Facebook group on old black and white photos from our capital. Later on, I found his works illustrated on his Instagram profile. My husband and I were able to visit an art gallery with some of his characteristic paintings in strongly contrasting colours and a minimalistic painting style. The paintings are uniquely his and have an atmosphere of calmness and harmony, and beauty in the surprising selecting of colours.  In this post I would like to share with you some of his works from present exhibition at the art gallery Huset i Asnaes in northern Zealand.
