Patrick Henry Quotes
Lin Wood continues to inspire me. Here from his social media Telegram account. He himself is like one of the outspoken Founding Fathers from the American Revolutionary times. In these posts, he quotes Patrick Henry (1736-1799) Virginia. Attorney and public official. On 13 March 1775, he delivered his famous “Give me Liberty or give me Death” speech. Member of the State convention which ratified the Constitution in 1788. (From the book “Original Intent The Courts, the Constitution and Religion” by David Barton.)

“Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.”
- Patrick Henry
“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”
- Patrick Henry
“For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst and to provide for it.”
- Patrick Henry
“The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.”
- Patrick Henry
Patrick Henry played a huge role in the making of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. I think he didn’t sign the Constitution because he wanted the Bill of Rights included.

Thank you so much, GP. That means a lot to me. At the time, I can hardly think of other issues because if the United States, the beacon of light, falls, the rest of the world fall too
