Semper Fidelis

tomb-of-the-unknown-from The Conservative Treehouse
This morning I woke up with the words “Semper Fidelis”, and I had the picture in mind of the Marine who is faithfully guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington Military Cemetry. He will be there day and night in all kind of weather always faithful to his oath. Here is more on the voluntary sentinels who serve in respect for the unknown soldier.
Here is a link to a short YouTube video with the Semper Fidelis March and the Marines. The blog The Conservative Treehouse has The Lord’s Prayer under the picture of the soldier to mark the importance of this prayer for us today. Semper Fidelis means Forever Faithful, and that is one of the many characteristics of our Heavenly Father.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

Thank you! I almost feel I am an American. Henry is studying ”Flying Fortresses” for his next post here next to me. I am taking a course on The Constitution for a change!
