A Visit to the Western Coast of Denmark
A lovely day with a blue sky inspires us to go to the beach, an hour’s drive from our home.
Normally all year round our beaches are full of German tourists but not now. What will never disappear are the many remnants from the Western Atlantic Wall, bunkers in concrete made to defend the German-occupied countries from the Western allies.
I have always disliked them as they remind me of ugly scars from the war. As the years pass by, the memories about them seem to be less offensive.

We passed by a small harbour city where we bought different fresh fish to take away on our way home. On other occasions, we have sat on their terrace for a meal.
