Gates and Houses in Skagen
The most northern part of Denmark is called Skagen. It used to be a special place for painters because of the light from the sky. Two seas meet at the very top and add to the unique atmosphere. Skagen is a tourist magnet at certain times of the year. We visited for a half marathon arranged to attract visitors to this spot. Many of the houses are for rent as guest houses. Initially, people in Skagen lived from fishing, a harsh and dangerous life.
