Integrity November 2015

Practising the art of integrity will continue for the rest of my life. It has been a good practice for me to focus on this during the year of 2015. The enemy to integrity have been Fear By faith in Christ fear is defeated by his sacrifice. Today I read in Proverbs 2:21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and […]

Devotional Friday 23 October 2015

How to keep your life in balance is shown in II Peter 1:2-9 Peter tells us just before his death in Rome that we should let the grace of God be multiplied on us in the full, personal and precise and correct knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord ( inspired from the Amplified Bible) Grace is God’s favour Peace ( perfect well-being, all necessary good,  all spiritual prosperity and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) How do we get hold of these promises ? By His divine power we can get into all that is suited to life and godliness and escape the moral decay that is in this world because of lust and greed. We are supposed to add our diligence to the divine promises and employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue and knowledge. In exercising knowledge develop self-control and steadfastness and godliness. If I am lacking in these qualities I am shortsighted and oblivious to the fact that I was cleansed from my old sins. For the last 45 years I have tried to understand these things and I am sure many secret gems are hidden here. This last bit reminds me of Paul’s letter to  Colossians 1:13-14 The father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and  dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in […]

Devotional Friday #3

My quote comes from the story of Jairus in the New Testament. He wanted help from Jesus to heal his daughter. She was very ill and died while Jesus was occupied in helping a woman who had suffered many years from incurable bleeding. When Jesus heard that the girl had died he ignored the bad tidings and said to Jairus […]

Integrity update

I still find it very challenging to keep a high standard in this area. The hardest is to dare to speak out frankly and honestly to people when I am convinced that something is wrong. Something that can’t be left untouched unless damage will follow. It’s like a terrible fear will try to suffocate me. What should I do if they react in anger or becomes very hurt? It’s worth continue to practice in this area because as long as you do everything in a loving way it should not be that dreadful, but something which is good for all. The fear of man is a childish reaction which should be left. But I will ask myself about how important it is to bring up the case? I have taken part in Lisa’s blogging event “One Word Challenge” for more than six months and I have become more confident in integrity. I take time to ask myself if I have considered all aspects of treating myself and my fellow human beings worthily. I will end this post with the words of Paul to Philippians in chapter 4:8 amplified bible For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honourable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and […]
