A Letter to Desiré
I would like to help young girls in making a good choice of a future husband. Too many has through all time been deceived and made unhappy. Life and literature are full of examples.

Day 5 in the writing course 101 I will combine with my Friday Devotional Event. From the Old Testament Psalm 126:5 They who sow in tears shall reap in joy and singing That verse has often given me hope and confidence to continue the good fight whatever circumstance I have been in. You focus on the result, not the difficulties […]
In this post I will include the testimony of Elfriide Kulgver. Elfriide Kulgver was born in Estonia (1909 – 1992). Like so many other people in the Baltic countries she and her family was deported by the Soviets on the 14 of June 1941 without any notice. (Post number one and post number two and post number three are linked here). In […]
I regret that I went to work to get bread and soup and let Jyri be in the ward of others'. He still might have died, but I could have been with him his last days. This is one of the horrible things of life that you voluntarily do things that you later regret without being able to change anything
How do you manage life when your husband has disappeared and your two toddlers have died of malnutrition and infections?
How to keep your life in balance is shown in II Peter 1:2-9 Peter tells us just before his death in Rome that we should let the grace of God be multiplied on us in the full, personal and precise and correct knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord ( inspired from the Amplified Bible) Grace is God’s favour Peace ( perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) How do we get hold of these promises ? By His divine power we can get into all that is suited to life and godliness and escape the moral decay that is in this world because of lust and greed. We are supposed to add our diligence to the divine promises and employ every effort in exercising your faith to develop virtue and knowledge. In exercising knowledge develop self-control and steadfastness and godliness. If I am lacking in these qualities I am shortsighted and oblivious to the fact that I was cleansed from my old sins. For the last 45 years I have tried to understand these things and I am sure many secret gems are hidden here. This last bit reminds me of Paul’s letter to Colossians 1:13-14 The father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in […]
This is the first post of a serial of five posts based on Elfriide’s life story as deported from Estonia to Siberia and back to Estonia. Number Two, Three, Four and the post scriptum. We have friends with a dramatic background in their ancestry story. Our friend Kristjan comes from Sweden and his father Herbert escaped the Germans and the Russians by fleeing from Estonia […]
Looking back at the age of fifteen in three generations 1938, 1966 and 2000
I got the inspiration for the monthly One Word Challenge on Integrity from a blogger I follow. Her blog is called RethinkingLife The collage she had made in her post challenged me. Please have a look at the link above. I have not become an expert on Integrity though I have trained on it all of 2015 and unconsciously for years […]
I have published this before, but I will send it out again, because we live in perilous times and we need to stand firmly on our ground. My quote comes from the story of Jairus in the New Testament. He wanted help from Jesus to heal his daughter. She was very ill and died while Jesus was occupied in helping […]
